We were approached by a customer to repurpose their overgrown side yard that had been used as a play area for their children for years. Challenges included tree stump removal, unwanted shrubs, weeds, lack of irrigation, deer presence and a heavy layer of pea gravel to dispose of prior to repurposing the site.

After careful consideration and planning, the resulting plan completely transformed the site. A complimentary garden was planted on both sides of the driveway, which leads to a hidden patio area where the homeowner could relax and enjoy the buzz of a pollinator garden with a mix of native plants, multi season interest, and deer resistance.

A customer with a new pool installation required grading and topsoil to finish the project. After analyzing the site, we proposed an appropriate solution that accounted for an adjusted slope behind the pool so no rainwater collected where it wasn't wanted.

Privacy in an open yard

New neighbors resulted in the need for some reliable, fast growing privacy in the back yard. At our recommendation, the homeowner contracted us to install 6' Green Giant Arborvitae along the fence line. Over time, the hedge will grow in to block the second story windows and create year round privacy in an otherwise open neighborhood.

Installed in October of 2022, this picture was taken in May of 2024 (one full season of growth in 2023). The new hedge grew from barely 6' to at least 8' in just one season, and is filling in nicely. We performed our annual clipping/topping, and fertilization prior to taking this picture, and many plants were actually 9'+ before we clipped them to a uniform height.
